Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we want to know, and we correct mistakes in public.
Tell us about a possible error
Send a direct message to @wespyhq on X, or email . It helps if you include:
- the story, ideally with its link;
- the sentence, figure or chart you think is wrong;
- what you think is correct, and how you know: a document, a link, or your own first-hand knowledge.
If you are named in a story and want to respond, say so in your message.
How corrections are shown
When we correct a story, the correction goes at the top of it, with the date and what changed. It looks like this:
CorrectionExample only: An earlier version of this story said X. It is Y. Corrected on [date].
How evidence is labelled
Our stories label key findings by what the reporting supports: Established by the records, Reported by a source, We could not verify and Still unresolved. A label is not a correction: "Still unresolved" means a question is open, not that we have got it wrong. If you can help settle an open question, please tell us. What each label means.
